Mandy is so detailed and thorough. She has the local knowledge that adds important context to the story. This is different in that the investigation is unfolding in real time and Mandy does an awesome job staying on top of it.

Very informative. Ms. Matney is an experienced journalist. Can't wait to hear how this plays out.

Terrible narration. The host has such a monotonous robotic speech pattern and it sounded like she was reading (badly) from a script. If you want a much more natural, entertaining, and informative take - check out True Crime Garage's coverage of the case and skip this one entirely. Boring to the point of distraction.

This podcast looks into the Alex Murdaugh and his trial for the killing of his wife and son. I thought it was pretty great at the start, but as it has gone on it feels like the Mandy Matney has been less objective that I expect from this type of examination.

I only made it through a couple of episodes as the host needs to leave her personal business, stress, need to step away, backstabbing drama out of what should be a professional podcast. I moved on to the podcasts that do actual journalist reporting and work to interview PROFESSIONALS in various fields related to the case

This is a must-listen podcast that is ongoing. Did Alex Murdaugh (pronounced el-ec murdock) kill his wife and son? He's accused of so many crimes he could get 750 years, but the recent indictment for killing his family members needs an answer.

This is so enthralling! I haven't been able to keep up that well by just looking at news clippings, but this podcast is well researched. The story gets weirder and weirder but Mandy is able to keep me engaged and on the edge of my seat waiting to hear what happens in this real situatino.

Started listening to the first episode but was sadly unable to continue to the narrators unbearably bad nasal droning accent. The worst case of vocal fry I have ever heard. Makes her sound more like a reality show contestant and not a journalist. Wouldn't be able to take it seriously with that ridiculous affected drone. She sounds bored to tears by a topic she's clearly researched at length and presumably quite invested in.
