Gaz-rael, for too many a living in hellLack of leadership led to a gruesome ground swellWhat the hell, you’d think the world would be compelledTo go beyond entrenched ideas that so many have held,To condemn genocide or concertgoers killedTo have a heart for hostages and homeowners grilled……alive, so much hurt to try to surviveWill there ever be a time when these people can thrive?Caravans carried hope in a hopeless landBombed following orders from the IDF manAnd there’s blame in this game from Israel to IranFrom Hamas to Hezbollah to the U.S…damnIf we could just give a damn ’bout PalestiniansOn a trail or a strip of tears losing their landI just appeal to you to find your humanityAnd condemn innocent death no matter their ID

We need a 2-state solution, respect institutionsEnd Hamas and not help them with their recruitmentCan’t bomb an idea away when you slayFamilies fleeing their homes strapped with their babaysThen the moms and babies found seared togetherCan we do better? Is hope as light as a feather?From Gaza to the West Bank and RamallahCallin’ on you Biden, Blinken, and KamalaTo let freedom ring for all the innocents dyingTo have the class to stop second class citizens cryingOur children deserve better, we’re all in this togetherOur kids deserve a future filled with peace and pleasureAin’t no religious text that would justify thisAnd anyone who believes that is just a lie sisI know we can do it if we have the willAnd just commit to making war the only thing that we kill!
