During her three-year tenure, she built a body of knowledge and experience in upstream product development, formulating, and testing. Myriam's journey continued in the dermatology field, where she deepened her understanding of skin functions, conditions, and aging processes. During her career, she has sourced the purest botanical ingredients, forging relationships with premier suppliers worldwide to ensure the integrity of her formulations.Despite maintaining a healthy lifestyle and adhering to a vegetarian and vegan diet for decades, she encountered health issues linked to environmental toxins. This led her to undergo a rigorous detoxification process in her diet, home, and personal care routines. She found that conventional products fell short of her standards for “clean”, as they often contained over 40 ingredients laden with toxins, harmful substances, petrochemicals, fillers, additives, and micro-plastics.Motivated by this experience, she was inspired to develop the purest skincare formulations possible for herself, her family and consumers. Her aim was to set new standards for the safety, effectiveness, and purity of personal care products. Thus, with her husband Eric Malka, they created Ingredients ® and listed her formulas on the front of the bottle down to the exact percentages believing that everyone has the right to know what they are applying to their skin.As Chief Science Officer of Ingredients®, Myriam leads all aspects of formulation and design, personally overseeing vendor sourcing and auditing. Driven by her passion for the pure potency of plants, she is committed to raising the standards of the clean beauty industry.

In 2009, The Art of Shaving was acquired by Gillette/Procter & Gamble – Eric was tapped by P&G to continue in his role as CEO through the end of 2010. In 2014, he established Strategic Brand Investments; a private equity fund specialized in helping early-stage entrepreneurs develop iconic brands and grow businesses.
