I simply adore everything about Atlas Obscura and of the dozens of podcasts I listen to, this is definitely one of my very favourites. Atlas Obscura harbours the same objective as its namesake website, which is draw attention to the quirkier and lesser known locations and attractions around the world. You're not going to find the Eiffel Tower or Times Square; obscurity really is the requirement. A museum of bad art. Giant statues of Presidents' heads. Gravestones containing recipes. Hitler's toilet. The weird and wonderful are all covered here.Rather than lengthy deep dives, Atlas Obscura covers these curiosities in swift, enthusiastic 10-15 minute daily chunks which are perfect. Really, how long would you want to spend on shipwrecked Doritos (yes, that's actually an episode! It's great).I cannot recommend Atlas Obscura enough. There is something for everyone in their widely diverse catalogue of episodes.
