A Crystalline Adventure of Nobility and CorruptionFirst off I have to say this has been a fantastic ride so far. The homebrew city and system based around these crystals make the setting of this story really pop. The city itself has a rich lore to pull from and gives the feeling of being lived in, instead of a generic city that needs the players to play in to make it seem real. The campaign itself takes place in the Forgotten Realms but does not shy away from modifying what it needs to so that this story can really shine. The DM Sarah brings a very rich story that drags the players in quickly. With every episode holding importance to the overarching story, it has you guessing and intrigued each time. She goes a great job keeping the story alive and fresh in your mind. Along with the cinematic intros that reveal more and more history behind the city and its ruler, you will be itching to listen to the next episode! The players each bring their own wonderful addition with these characters and do a great job staying in character and rocking that roleplaying. Mia the Elven Warlock with get cheery demeanor hides something dark with her abilities, Barash the Dragonborn Monk has a hard demeanor with a caring personality poking through every so often, Lin the Elven Druid who's caution of the outside world keeps the party grounded, and Kaylark the Elven Cleric who's time jumped self is shrouded in mystery with a cool and collected demeanor. If you're looking for a solid story and a wonderful set of characters then this actual play is for you! Take a moment and indulge in The Culling as the Nobles enjoy their blood sport.
