Michel Foucault was a French intellectual who rose to prominence in the heyday of democratic socialism in the 1970s. In this episode, I explore Foucault's endorsement of the Iranian Revolution among other things. I conclude by looking at what other writers have to say about Foucault's apparent endorsement of neoliberalism late in his life and how we can understand this endorsement. Running through this episode is the idea that a philosopher's thought is shaped but also distorted by the era in which they come to be. The final episode of a three part series.
