No Ordinary Days, A Month of Personal Anecdotes and Reflections.
Written by Darlene J Ellis.
Darlene is my Great Aunt. We call her "Aunt Punky", a nickname that was given to her as a child. During the week if July 4th, 2021, Aunt Punky was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease. Since then, it's come on fierce and fast, much to everyone's surprise. Her husband, my Uncle Rex, was diagnosed with Dementia in 2020. To say they are the perfect pair is an understatement. I'm recording her book, No Ordinary Days, so her words of strength, personal stories and encouragement can live on digitally even after she is no longer with us. This podcast will be a mini-series, broken into segments that are the chapters of her book. Each episode is not meant to be listened to from beginning to end in one sitting, it's best enjoyed one piece at a time.
If this moves you in any way, please share with 3 friends so Aunt Punky's book can live on. Thank you and God Bless You!
