A New Yorker first, Marisol Rosa-Shapiro is Jewish Puerto Rican woman. Her city and multiple layers of identity have shaped her; she discussed her experience with us. She shares her story of her recent visit to the Island (Puerto Rico); a visit accelerated due to to fear that the culture and essence will be lost due to climate change and a shameful response from the United States government.
