Probably a little TMI besides they come from just weird places.  Inspiration, or specifically, story ideas seem to hit me when I usually don't expect them too.  And it's been a while since that's occurred.  It used to happen all the time, an idea popped in my head, it started to form into a story, I started writing it out, and in the process of writing one story another would start to take shape.

That experience happend so often that I would write a premise down for the story and some characters, while writing another story, so I wouldn't forget.  That well seemed to dry up around eight years ago but it gave me the opportunity to try and tie up some of the stories that were most important to me.  But I missed the almost constant barage of ideas.  The confliction of deciding which story to work on.  In fact about four years ago I gave up writing completely.  Not by choice really, my job had consumed everything in my life until the later part of last year.

That later part of last year the idea for a movie, which eventually became titled "DRIVER", started forming.  I actually even started to write the script and came up with some poster and one-sheet ideas for Driver.  The first one is the logo for Driver, thought it'd be cool for some kind of guerilla type marketing.  The second graphic is a logo for Superb, the fictional taxi UBER-like company the main character drives for.

And then about a month ago another story idea started developing.  It's not what it used to be, the birth a story, but it feels like I'm sitting down with an old friend.  One of those friends that is so close that you may not see or talk to them for a while but once you do chat it's like you've spent no time apart at all.

So I chat about those ideas, where my inspiration comes from, what I do when it hits me, and how good it feels to unblock writer's block.  So my questions for you are where does inspiration come for you?  What do you do when it hits?  And what steps do you take to knock out that block if it's ever hit you.  Hit me up and let me know.  In the meantime thanks for listening to me babble.  Peace, oh, and welcome back Old Friend.
