I heard Ian speak in person. His liberalism is pretty obvious, but I found him interesting and he tried to be fair. Because of this I tried listening to his podcasts. I listened to about 15 or so before I finished. Some are interesting, but he has a lot of interviews with people on the far left posing as centrist. They sound reasonable at first, but through out platitudes and "facts" that only someone on the far left would believe. Lots of statements like if Republicans get elected it will be "dysfunctionality plus spectacle" and the like and implying Jan 6 was a huge crisis and the like. Trying to sound reasonable but spouting liberal biased talking points. I could not listen anymore when he had Tim Snyder on - some guy claiming that the most important type of freedom was having government sponsored healthcare because it lets you quit your job. Sorry, if you are anywhere right of Bernie Sanders, you will get annoyed pretty quick. I was waiting for some more centrist or conservatives guests but I missed them. I like listening to instructive podcasts that give both sides - I learn a lot - I would recommend Econtalk with Russ Roberts as one that does that.
