This episode keeps us on the ground in a fascinating discussion with Josh Hartung the Co-Founder and CEO of Polysync. Polysync is a software company at the center of autonomous vehicle development.

Before we begin, Josh refers to First Principle a few times in the discussion. First principles is essentially boiling down a problem to its most basic assumptions. In Josh’s case if the goal is safety then the first principle for the code or operating systems they are developing is that it is fundamentally safe. That all functions or features must adhere to this first principle of safety.
