2:00
the next module and the next topic
2:02
and you work through a different chapter
2:04
every single day. Each chapter
2:06
goes for roughly 10 or
2:08
so minutes and after every single day,
2:10
you either get a piece of homework
2:12
or some sort of task or some
2:14
sort of behavior to implement into your
2:16
lifestyle and slash or you
2:19
get a resource to do further reading
2:21
to or to like look something up
2:23
or to read into someone else's work
2:26
or whatever. So each day you either
2:28
get an additional resource to do further
2:30
research to expand your horizons on that
2:32
topic or you get
2:35
a task, a behavioral change,
2:37
a piece of homework, something to include into your habits.
2:39
And the reason I've kind of split it up between
2:41
the two is because I also didn't want you being
2:43
overwhelmed with 30 different habits
2:45
that you had to include into your life from
2:47
day one to day 30. So
2:49
it's kind of evenly spread out in
2:52
that way. Yes,
2:54
I have designed it to be listened to over
2:56
30 days, but as you'll listen to in the
2:58
book, as I explained in the book, you can
3:00
take as long as you want to do this. I
3:03
know that there are some people that really don't like moving
3:05
on to the next module until they've really like nailed
3:07
the first thing and that's perfectly fine. There's
3:10
literally no downside to taking 60 days or
3:12
90 days or however you want, however long
3:15
you want to do this, this
3:18
course or this book or this
3:20
whatever you want to call it, a path changing
3:22
expedition that you're going to go on. So
3:25
basically you take
3:27
it at your own pace. What I would love
3:29
for you not to do though is to listen
3:31
to it all in one go. I think it
3:33
really loses the power that it
3:35
has because I think we learn
3:37
best when we digest in small pieces and
3:40
then we put that information to
3:42
good use. We put it into practice before then
3:44
going in and absorbing new content. That is the
3:46
best way to learn. That's the best way to
3:48
make those changes permanent. Now
3:51
the reason I wanted to do this book is
3:54
because obviously I
3:56
give you guys so much advice
3:58
and so much information. Like I literally
4:01
like refer to my podcast sometimes as like a
4:03
bit of a labyrinth or a black hole because
4:05
you can just get sucked into it. There's
4:08
over 300 hours of content that
4:11
I've put out there on my podcast and
4:13
navigating and finding that information, given that
4:15
it's been like four years is not
4:17
the easiest thing. And I get so
4:19
many people in the Facebook group talking
4:22
about the fact that they, you know,
4:24
really want information on this topic and people are
4:26
offering them, oh, maybe listen to episode number 156
4:28
or maybe listen to this or listen
4:31
to that. So I thought, imagine if I could pull
4:33
in information that I have taught over the past
4:35
four years and new information
4:37
and resources that I'm yet to share,
4:40
but package it in a way that
4:42
it is concise, it is clear,
4:45
it is done in an ordered
4:47
manner, and it is also
4:49
in bite-sized pieces that's really easy to digest.
4:51
So it's something that you can be like,
4:54
here's the start, here's the finish, this is
4:56
where I'm beginning, this is what I want
4:58
to feel and have and achieve
5:01
by the end of the 30 days.
5:04
So that's how it differs quite significantly from
5:06
the podcast. Because as you guys are aware,
5:08
the podcast is like, this is one topic,
5:10
let's delve into it, let's go into it.
5:12
This is very much like I'm taking you
5:14
on a journey where there's like a proper
5:16
start, middle and end. And it's really manageable
5:18
bite-sized pieces. I take out the best of
5:20
the best from the podcast and I bring
5:23
in more brand new information
5:25
that I haven't yet spoken about. And
5:27
each day I teach you how you can then implement
5:29
that thing into your life. So if you were to
5:32
do this over the 30 days or the 60 or
5:34
90, however you want to take it, you
5:36
will notice some serious changes in your life.
5:38
And of course, if you do the homework,
5:40
the changes will be much bigger than if
5:42
you just passively listen and don't do the
5:45
homework. So I would really hope that
5:47
everyone that does listen to this book wants to like, sink
5:49
their teeth in and really get
5:52
involved with this. Okay? Now
5:55
what I'm going to do is I'm going
5:57
to share a little audio snippet from the
5:59
chapter 1.2 in
6:01
module 1 and module 1
6:03
is all about identity.
6:05
So the theme of module 1 is
6:07
your identity and this module
6:10
1.2 is all based around purpose. The
6:12
chapter is called What is your purpose
6:14
and do you need one? So keep
6:17
listening to listen to that snippet of module
6:19
number 1. Over the next few weeks, I'm
6:21
going to be sharing like tiny snippets from
6:24
each module of the book. If you haven't
6:26
already pre-ordered the book, hopefully this inspires you
6:28
to go ahead and purchase
6:30
that book, do your future
6:32
self a favor and start implementing all
6:34
these things and putting it into practice.
6:37
I will have the link for you to be able
6:39
to purchase the audio book in the bio of this
6:41
episode. It's also on my link tree
6:44
in my social so on my Instagram, if
6:46
you just click on the link tree, you'll
6:48
be able to access that link as well
6:50
to purchase it. Guys,
6:53
I'm so excited. I have already
6:55
received so much support with people
6:57
sharing that they've already pre-ordered the
6:59
book. So it's really, really cool
7:01
to see that you guys are
7:03
consuming my content regularly, but also
7:05
supporting the podcast, supporting
7:07
me with purchasing this
7:09
book and also supporting yourselves into
7:12
your future by going through this
7:14
30 day course and really doing
7:16
the work, doing it
7:18
in a really, really great order and basically
7:22
reaping the rewards of your hard work. So
7:25
I can't wait for you guys to start
7:27
doing the 30 days. I think it'll be really
7:29
cool to also share what you're learning and
7:31
share your knowledge and share how this whole
7:33
journey is going for you on the Facebook
7:36
page as well, or share it with me
7:38
either over emails or on socials because I
7:40
really love to listen to what you guys
7:42
have to say or to read about your
7:44
journeys. It's really, really cool. So that
7:46
is my announcement for the day. The book
7:48
has finally come out. It
7:50
feels like it's been so long in
7:52
the making. It's very, very exciting. I'm
7:55
feeling very happy and very grateful today. And
7:57
I just wanted to say I
7:59
adore you guys. You guys are the real MVPs
8:01
as far as podcast audiences go. My beans
8:03
are the best. And now stay
8:05
tuned to listen to a little snippet off
8:07
the audio book. I hope you guys enjoyed.
8:10
Love you so much. ["I'm
8:15
Not A Bitch"] Purpose
8:26
can be intimidating. The
8:28
narratives we have all heard about finding
8:31
your purpose make it feel like it
8:33
needs to be something you come across
8:35
and instantly recognize as your one and
8:37
only calling. A
8:39
purpose is simply a meaningful and motivating
8:42
aim of your life. It
8:44
is your reason for being here, and
8:46
it helps you form your goals and keep you
8:49
on track. It creates
8:51
meaning in your life, and it
8:53
feels satisfying. For some, this
8:56
is linked to their work and career, but
8:58
for many, it is something separate.
9:01
That said, I do believe
9:03
that purpose does have to be linked
9:06
to making yourself useful, not
9:08
turning yourself into a martyr and
9:10
living purely for others, but contributing
9:12
in some way. Connection
9:15
and community are such an
9:17
integral part of the human
9:19
experience, and feeling like you are
9:21
part of your community and you
9:23
provide value are important in feeling
9:25
like you have a purpose. There
9:28
is a lot of pressure on the
9:31
concept of purpose because we hear about
9:33
people that may have done huge, generous
9:35
acts or started charities or influenced millions
9:37
of people. You may
9:40
see someone living out a career of
9:42
helping save lives, such as a doctor
9:44
or neurosurgeon, or you hear
9:46
about people reaching millions with their music or
9:49
art. And while these
9:51
stories are a true representation of finding
9:53
purpose, they can make others
9:55
feel that purpose has to be this
9:57
larger-than-life thing, making it seem
9:59
unattainable. But I
10:01
think this can be misleading. It
10:04
is sometimes the most simple things in life
10:06
that keep people feeling like they have a
10:08
reason for being here on this earth. And
10:11
by simple, I don't mean
10:14
trivial or unimportant. Many
10:16
people that make it past 100 years
10:18
old claim that they maintain
10:20
their health because they are always doing
10:23
something to contribute, and that is
10:25
their purpose. So maybe, if
10:28
you are not yet clear on purpose, it's
10:30
time to rethink what it could look
10:33
like. So let's
10:35
start with some questions to ask yourself. Do
10:38
you think that purpose is found by
10:40
searching, or do you think that
10:42
purpose finds you? How
10:44
have you defined purpose in your life
10:47
previously? If you were to
10:49
name three people you know who are
10:51
definitely living their purpose, who would they
10:53
be, and what is that purpose
10:55
they are living? Take
10:58
a moment to think through these questions. Understanding
11:01
how you look at purpose will help you
11:03
understand why you may have struggled to feel
11:06
it in the past.
