The world-building within Broken Road is strong - you immediately get the sense that capitalisation has run rampant and everyone has been coerced into falling in line. Even law enforcement act on behalf of the corporations. The main cast are very well personalised and play off each other well. Dialogue is delivered with conviction. Sound effects were jarring in the sense that they didn't always seem natural. Also, the writing overlooked the audience's need to be updated and informed about some of the specifics, like technical jargon. Some redrafting and proofreading from someone outside the cast and crew ahead of of production could have identified these issues. The episodes are short, often around 10-15 minutes. As a fan of more concise storytelling this wasn't an issue for me and in fact I often found myself playing the next episode straight after as I had been completely drawn in.Really wouldn't mind a second season of this show.
