An acid jazz daydream: among the many things I loved about this show was the hyper-saturated, sunbaked surrealism of it's languid, eerie storytelling. I came for the high weird, but I stayed for the really moving, messy, awkward, compelling romance between Strathcona and Sunny. I really enjoyed this first season, and let's just say the voice of the credits in the final episode left me suitably unsettled...
