I think we all know about personal space and the importance of respecting the personal space of others and expecting others to respect ours. What may not be quite as clear is just how complex personal space is and how easy it is to unintentionally ignore the boundaries of other people. The issue is that personal space has several dimensions. We can be totally respectful of some dimensions while simply not knowing to respect the others. We may not realize their importance. Let’s spend a few minutes thinking about this key are of interpersonal relationships in any situation.
