Helen H. Carr is a historian, writer, and producer who specializes in medieval history and public history. Currently, she is a Professor at Queen Mary University London.Carr writes a monthly column for BBC History Magazine, and contributes to the TLS, Unherd and The New Statesman. Her first book, "Inventing the American Primitive: Politics, Gender and the Representation of Native American Literary Traditions, 1789–1936," was published in 1996.Carr has appeared as an expert on television and radio. She produced and hosted the podcast "Hidden Histories" and has hosted podcasts for BBC History.
