Dr. Douglas Tallamy is an entomologist, ecologist, and conservationist. Currently, he is a professor of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware.Tallamy advocates for home gardens to bridge the gaps between parks and preserves in providing habitat for native species.Tallamy's first book, "Bringing Nature Home: How Native Plants Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens," was published in 2006.Tallamy received a B.S. in Biology from Allegheny College, a M.S. in Entomology from Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Maryland.
